What is Zoom for Health?

Zoom for Health is the only university-approved way to conduct online meetings and audio conference calls involving health information, including Protected Health Information (PHI) regulated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

 Use of Zoom for Healthcare is suitable for:

  • Healthcare
  • Health Education
  • Health Data Research

To use Zoom for Health, you must login via the portal at https://hipaa-zoom.arizona.edu

How is Zoom for Health Different from Standard Zoom?

In order to maintain security and meet regulatory requirements, Zoom for Health utilizes a separately managed Zoom profile with additional security features, as well as having some standard features disabled. The table below outlines the key differences.
